How do I apply for a student loan?

 

The National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC) manages all Canada Student Loans issued on or after August 1, 2000. In other words, you no longer need to go to a financial institution to obtain a Canada Student Loan. Instead, your loan is funded by the Government of Canada through the National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC). When it comes time to repay your loan, you will repay the NSLSC (for loans issued on or after August 1, 2000). Your province might also offer Provincial Student Loans. What are Canada Pension Plan survivor benefits and how can I apply?

 

Canada Pension Plan survivor benefits are paid to a deceased contributor's estate, surviving spouse or common-law partner and dependent children. There are three types of benefits.

 

• The death benefit is a one-time payment to, or on behalf of, the estate of a deceased Canada Pension Plan contributor;

   

• The survivor's pension is a monthly pension paid to the surviving spouse or common-law partner of a deceased contributor;

   

• The children's benefit is a monthly benefit for dependent children of a deceased contributor.
